During a project in my first year at uni, we were given the brief of developing a narrative exploring the idea of identity, through film making. I wanted to explore identity through the concept of 'spotlight syndrome' and create a personal but relatable insight into how we view ourselves vs how we are perceived by others. Using my own raw inner monologue, my friends and families opinions of myself, and contrasting old footage of me growing up with those of me as an adult, I revealed the importance of reflection, appreciation and self assurance.
Below is my research deck, which takes you through the growth of my concept and ultimately the tools and techniques in creating my narrative outcome, as well as my references and inspiration.
